It’s official: Prince William will marry Kate Middleton in 2011 – They became Engaged in October

“The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton.” With this official press release, Clarence House announced today that Prince William, second in line to the throne, will marry Kate Middelton in 2011, the year that would have been the 30th anniversary of his parents’ wedding. Kate Middleton’s parents get invited to the Queen’s Scottish estate

Michael and Carol Middleton, the parents of Kate Middleton, spent the weekend at Balmoral, Prince Charles’s private residence on the Queen’s Scottish estate. The invitation fuels speculation that the younger couple are poised to announce their engagement after an eight year courtship. An insider commented “This is the Middletons being taught to be able to join the royals at play.” The couple were invited as part of a “country pursuits” house party which Prince William hosts about once a yearin the familys retreat.
